Wednesday, May 23, 2012 • Posted May 23, 2012

San Antonio, TX – Spencer Bierschwale, Dalton Kast and Nick Martin of Mason County will participate in the Texas Brigades program this summer. They were selected based on their academic records, interest in wildlife and natural resources, and leadership activities.

The Texas Brigades’ mission is to educate and empower youths with leadership skills and knowledge in wildlife, fisheries, and land stewardship to become conservation ambassadors for a sustained natural resource legacy. This is the 20th year of the Brigades.

There are six Brigade camps being held this summer; two Buckskin Brigades, two Bobwhite Brigades, Bass Brigade, and Waterfowl Brigade.

Due to the high interest of these camps, the application season has closed for this year’s camps. If you would like to receive emails regarding the 2013 camps please feel free to contact us.
