The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, May 22nd, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 34 members and one visitor in attendance.

Lion Dane Phillips was responsible for the program, and "Boss Lion" Kirby Groves introduced Tyler Bobinmeyer, the local Count Agent, who spoke about his life leading up to his coming to Mason.

Tyler was raised in Nebraska, went to college in Wyoming, worked in California and other states, all before arriving in Mason, Texas. He talked about his duties as the 4-H leader, Ag Sciences Extension Agent, and all the other hats he wears as the County Agent.

Tyler praised our youth and the adults he works with in the county. Tyler answered a few questions at the end of the program.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, May 29th, at noon at Zavala’s. The program chairman will be Charles Pluenneke.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
