Wednesday, May 30, 2012 • Posted May 30, 2012

Rodney Purser retired from Central Texas Electric Co-op on May 24th, accumulating exactly 35 years of service with the member-owned utility. He was hired by then-supervisor of the Operations Department, Bill Ivey, and his first day was May 24th, 1977.

Bill worked his entire career as a lineman, and lists “working with customers and his co-workers” as the best thing about working for the Co-op. His plans for the future include spending his time ranching.

Mason County CTEC Board members and fellow-employees honored Bill at a reception in the Mason branch office on the 24th and wished him many happy hours in his future endeavors.
