Shaun Robert Capps died June 21, 2012, when life support was removed after 16 days in a coma. He was in a Denver, Colorado, medical center after suffering a stroke on June 2, 2012.
Shaun was born July 16, 1965, in Abilene and had lived in the Lampasas and Dallas area most of his life. He had recently moved to Aurora, Colorado, with his family. He was an electrician.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Kim, and children, Tiffany Rose, 18; and Christopher Randall, 16, and step daughter, Brittany Daigle of Dallas. His dad, Randy Capps (Joyce) of Lampasas, his mother, Kitsy Pounds of Phoenix, Arizona, his brothers, Wran Capps (Shannon) and Brandon Capps of Lampasas, Ross I. Pounds of New Zealand, and Jason Pounds of Dallas. Also, his grandmother, Dorothy Capps of Lampasas, and his aunt, Janis Banner (Mason) of Kerrville, Texas, and many relatives and friends.
After cremation, a memorial service was held in Colorado and there will be a memorial service in Dallas at a later date.
