Mason VFW News, July
Wednesday, July 4, 2012 • Posted July 4, 2012

As usual, the veterans will have a float in the round-up parade. We invite local veterans to ride if they want. The VFW post is restoring a WW II jeep. It will be in the parade and on display after.

After the parade the Post will be selling raffle tickets for a hunting rifle and a hunting knife. The proceeds will go to fund our local charity events.

At this time we wish to recognize Mr. Boone Kemp. Boone is a member of the local VFW Post 8554 and a three war veteran. Boone served in WWII, Korea, and returned to service to serve in Viet Nam. A true patriot and we are proud to know him.

We wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July.

Any questions about the VFW can be directed to Lawrence Spell post commander at 325-429-6224.
