The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, June 26th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 32 members and three visitors in attendance.

Lion Mark Hurta was responsible for the program and he spoke about his job working on the Holland America Cruise Line as a photographer.

Mark showed a PowerPoint presentation of the ships he was aboard, the people he worked with, and the ports they visited. Mark said he was on leave until he was called back to work. The program was very interesting and informative.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, July 3rd, at noon at Zavala’s. The program will be the monthly business meeting.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
