Two Person Shamble/Scramble Beats the Heat
Wednesday, July 4, 2012 • Posted July 4, 2012

Comanche Creek Golf Course held its annual two person Shamble/Scramble golf tournament last weekend. Fifteen teams participated in the tournament which was broken down into three flights after the first days play. If you’re not familiar with the shamble format, don’t feel bad. Both partners tee off, choose the best drive, and then play their own ball from that location.

On the second day was the two person scramble with a small twist, we had to play using the James Toeppich rule. The James Toeppich rule is where if any player’s golf ball comes to rest outside of the cart trail area it is deemed to be out of play and their ball cannot be played. This helps keep a check on the long hitters and evens the playing field.
