A Big Thank You from the Loyal Valley Fire Department
Wednesday, July 11, 2012 • Posted July 11, 2012

On June 30th and July 1st the Loyal Valley Volunteer Fire Department held its first annual fund raiser in the form of a Gun and Crafts Show at the Fort Mason Community Center. It was a resounding success.

We would like to thank all those who donated items for our auction on Saturday evening and the many, many folks that baked wonderful items for our bake sale to help keep our waistlines intact. We would also like to thank all the individuals who donated funds at the show as well. Without the involvement of the community, it just would not be possible to field the necessary equipment it takes to fight our greatest threat and friend—FIRE.

Most importantly we would like to thank the City of Mason for donating the use of the facility that made this all possible. And of course all those who stayed or came back to bid on the auction items on Saturday evening. A special thanks goes out to our vendors, without whom the show would not have been possible.

These funds will help us pay for the fuel to train our firefighters and field equipment in the event of a fire and will pay for the insurance on that equipment. It will help us equip the trucks with all the minutia it takes to keep our firefighters safe and hydrated.

Once again, until next year, THANK YOU to all the participants from MASON, GILLESPIE, MCCULLOCH & LLANO COUNTIES and beyond for your help and support.

A very special thanks to Danny and Kate Reed of Reed Advertising for all of their hard work on getting the word out.
