Down the Drain with Jane

Recently, it was brought to my attention that senior citizens can be very obstinate! This is especially true when it comes to moving them from their nest of many years to an assisted living arrangement. This told me to be wise and tell my kids where I stand now!

Mother, was asked to live with me for six months and Jo Ann for six months. Her reply was direct, “Not while I have my right mind and if I don’t have my right mind, you wouldn’t want me!”

Okay, don’t take me away from my nest, unless I can take my puppies with me! Too, if I don’t have my right mind, then this will not be a problem. But, as long as I have my right mind, can fix a pot of coffee and use a microwave, it’s best to leave me be!

Honestly, I hope not to be a burden to my kids. But, if it comes, “DON’T TAKE ME AWAY FROM MY PUPPIES!”

P.S. - Z. learned that his farming compared to the farming in Ill., is like his being a mere large garden.
