The Marble Falls Opry is very proud to present “Cajun Night At The Opry with Wade Benson Landry” from Branson.

A native “Cajun” from Abbeville, Louisiana, Landry had a desire to entertain from a very early age. At the young age of ten, Landry began performing in front of live audiences in his father’s band on drums and guitar, as well as showing off his vocal talents.

Landry found his musical calling at the age of 13, when he turned to the fiddle, playing Traditional Country, Cajun, Big Band and Western Swing Music. By age eighteen Landry had won the title of Louisiana Junior State Champion Fiddler twice!

The heart of country music, Nashville, Tennessee called and doors opened for Landry. While in Nashville, Landry was a featured performer with some of Country music’s giants, such as Jimmy C. Newman, Loretta Lynn, The Oak Ridge Boys, Dolly Parton, Porter Wagoner, George Jones and Tammy Wynette.

Working with such legends presented Landry with the opportunity to appear regularly on television with appearances on PBS “Live from the Grand Ole Opry”, the “1980 CMA Awards Show”, The Anheuser-Busch Special, “ Reach for the Stars” with Bob Hope, NBC’s “Tonight Show”, “Nashville Now” and the “Academy of Country Music Awards Show.”

Landry has traveled the world entertaining millions of listeners. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, New Orleans Jazz Festival, and has made 8 major tours throughout Canada, England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Scotland, Austria and France. Landry continues to do so as a member of the Statesiders Band with legendary performer, Country Music Hall of Fame member and Grand Ole Opry member Mel Tillis.

Landry makes his home in Branson, Missouri. For nine years, Landry was a featured performer in Branson with the two-time CMA award winner Buck Trent. Landry also wrote and produced shows for Branson’s famous theme park, “Silver Dollar City”. The combination of these shows presented Landry the opportunity to perform before three thousand guests daily, bringing his own style of music to the forefront.

In 2008, Landry started headlining the only Cajun Swing show in Branson. Wade Benson Landry’s “Swingin’ Cajun Style” is a two-hour event, which brings the style of Cajun Swing music and Cajun Comedy to thousands of fans each season at the God and Country Theater.

“My wife and I are so excited about playing the Marble Falls Opry for the very first time,” Landry said. “I see so many people in Branson from that area and we are really looking forward to a great show-Cajun Style!”

Other entertainers on the show will include Teresa Bowe, Justin Trevino, Star Longaria, Randy Rinehart, Shane Lively, Charley Walton and Sammy Geistweidt. Tracy Pitcox will MC the show.
