Car Seat Check-Up Event in Mason
Wednesday, August 1, 2012 • Posted August 1, 2012

Texas AgriLife Extension is again teaming up with the Texans in Motion group, sponsored by Scott and White Hospitals to bring you a Child Safety Seat Check Up event in Mason. We are coordinating with the First United Methodist Church’s Back to School event.

Families in need can go to the Methodist Church from 8:30-11a.m. on Monday, August 13 to get some back to school items. This is conveniently at the same time that the Food Bank is running, and so we have decided to make it a one-stop-shop and check car seats there too! We will be at the overflow parking area across the street from the Methodist Church. Any family can bring their car seat in for FREE to see if it is installed properly in your vehicle, and if you don’t have the appropriate car seat or booster, Texans in Motion provides one for you! Along with making sure the car seat is in your vehicle correctly, they will teach YOU how to do it, because we all know how confusing they can be.

There will be Spanish speaking educators available, so PLEASE help us make this great opportunity known to anyone who needs it!
