The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, July 24th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 37 members and three visitors in attendance. Among the visitors was Sherrilynn Blase, District Governor Tom Blase's wife.

Boss Lion Pat Reardon was responsible for the program and introduced District Governor Tom Blase who spoke about the upcoming year in District 2-A1.

District Governor Blase's motto this year is "Doing what Lions do" and this will be starting with the first cabinet meeting in Mason on July 28. The Mason Lions Club will be hosting the other clubs in District 2-A1 on Saturday, July 28 at the Eckert Civic Center for our first cabinet meeting. A large crowd is expected to kick off this new year.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, July 31st, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Larry Spell.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
