Bookhounds Sniff Out Great Books
Wednesday, August 1, 2012 • Posted August 1, 2012

Forty-seven students joined the Bookhound Club, one of three summer reading programs offered by the Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library. Karli and Delani Bauer tied for the top spot by reading a whopping 150 books each! They tied for Top Reader, so each received a Nook Simple with Glowlight. Our second-place reader, Ashlyn Gleghorn , won the iPod. The third-place winner was Michael Gleghorn who won the $25 cash prize. James Gleghorn won movie tickets plus $10 for the concession. Ty Hockenberger came in fifth and received a jar filled with candy.

We had a second drawing for another Nook. The winner was Ashlyn Garcia. A special “thank you” goes to The Commercial Bank, First State Bank of Central Texas, and Mason National Bank for donating the four Nooks and supporting our summer reading programs.
