Caroline Runge's Editorial entitled, "Is a Watermaster Needed on the San Saba River?" while very informative contained an incorrect statement which materially effects her underlying position. Mrs. Runger stated and asked "all told, water rights amounting to 1.4 billion gallons were suspended for the benefit of six people who never received any of the water... Is a watermaster worth the cost and intensive regulation, when in years of severe drought downstream landowners will not get water regardless of suspension of right of irrigators?"

The following landowners swear that after the August suspension, the holes filled and they personally observed the San Saba River flowing well between the first and second weekend in November, 2011 well before the rains of January and February. This flow occurred upstream and downstream of FM 1311 crossing. Therefore, the suspension was successful and benefitted many ranchers downstream.
