Every golfer in his playing career has an aspiration to shoot or score their age in an eighteen hole round. In golf that is considered to be quite a feat and accomplishment. Par for most golf courses is seventy two so to be able to shoot your age requires considerable skill.
This past Saturday on August 11, 2012 , Boog Holloway shot a seventy five on the par seventy two course in Mason. Boog is eighty one.
He played the first sixteen holes in even par. I have been playing golf for forty seven years and this was the most enjoyable round I have ever witnessed or experienced. Witnessing the round were John Olson, Jerry Bearden, Brad Lehmberg and Homer Martin .
Congratulations Boog. You are a gentlemen and a pleasure to spend time with. Please let us win next time.
