All aboard.

It’s a slippery slope now.

Like a slide pointed towards Fall.

Another school year soon begins.

Make the most of those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer.

Because they’re numbered.

The heat’s a bummer.

But it hasn’t slowed down the butterflies.

Or lizards.

Just the Llano River.

Slow going there.

Low water crossings without water.

Thirsty birds.

Painted Bunting.

Scissortail Flycatcher.

Roadrunner.

Hungry birds too.

Kingfisher.

Great Blue Heron.

What a little rain would do.

Or a big ol’ flood.

Clear it all out.

Move it on down.

Water seeks its own level.

Go with the flow.

River redefines itself.

Goes where it flows.

Stops where it’s blocked.

C’mon, rain.

Recharge the aquifer.

Replenish the springs.

Revive the pastures.

Restore the tanks.

Bring it on.

Wash the car.

Hang clothes out to dry.

Water the yard.

Or do a rain dance.

Put on turquoise.

Wear a headdress with goat hair.

Women in one line.

Men in another.

Zig and zag.

Like lightning bolts.

Zig and zag.

Like we did last summer.

Twist and shout.

Dance for rain.Or just dance.

It can’t hurt.

That’s Mason.
