Thanks to everyone who entered to win a spay/neuter of a cat or a dog sponsored by Second Chance – Mason Animal Rescue. The drawing was held Friday at noon at the Mason Feed Store and the winners will be notified soon.

It is the goal of Second Chance to sponsor a monthly drawing of a spay/neuter if the funds are available. Please stop by the Mason Feed Store to enter for the next drawing.

This weekend Second Chance members will again be participating in Tractor Supply’s Pet Appreciation Week. Saturday we will be set up at the Tractor Supply store in Brady for the national pet adoption event. Please come by and say hello if you are in the area.

If you are interested in learning more about the organization or would like to become a member, please make plans to attend the monthly meeting this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the offices of Strategic Oilfield Services next door to Willowcreek Café.

Second Chance continues to need foster homes for both cats and dogs. This is a great way to give an animal a loving home while they are waiting for their permanent family. Please contact Casey Clevenger at 347-4521 if you would like to help. If you are interested in helping out but cannot volunteer or foster, please consider becoming a sponsor of one of Second Chance’s animals. Donations can be made to Second Chance and mailed to PO Box 755, Mason, Texas 76856.

Gently used dog and cats supplies, especially kitty litter, kitten chow and puppy chow, are also needed. These can be dropped off at the Mason County Chamber of Commerce on the square.

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered with or donated to Second Chance-Mason Animal Rescue.
