Pets of the Week
Wednesday, August 22, 2012 • Posted August 22, 2012

This week’s dog of the week is Charlie, a male terrier mix approximately 8-10 months old. He is very playful and still has a lot of puppy in him. In addition to Charlie there are also nine puppies available that were surrendered last week. If you have been looking for a puppy, there is probably one there for you. The puppies are approximately 10 weeks old and are all female. Five are Shepherd/Lab mixes and four are Border Collie mixes. They are adorable bundles of energy.

We also have cat of the week this week. Her name is Snow and she is a very sweet adult white bobtail. In addition, there is a litter of four beautiful kittens that need homes.

Please take a look at Second Chance-Mason Animal Rescue’s Facebook page or visit www.petfinder.com to see all of the animals up for adoption.

If you are interested in adopting any of these animals please contact Casey Clevenger at 347-4521. If you would like to provide a temporary foster home while these dogs and cats are waiting for their permanent families, please give Casey a call. Foster homes are especially important when the population at the City Pound is so high because if the animals are not adopted or moved into a foster home within two weeks they will be euthanized.

If you are interested in helping out but cannot volunteer or foster, please consider becoming a sponsor of one of Second Chance’s animals. Donations can be made to Second Chance and mailed to PO Box 755, Mason, Texas 76856.

Gently used dog and cats supplies, especially kitty litter, kitten chow and puppy chow, are also needed. These can be dropped off at the Mason County Chamber of Commerce on the square.
