Today I am going to be brief and to the point since this is a holiday week and everything goes to the presses earlier. Early Morning Return of the bats is September 15th and it will be the last one offered this season. The picture included with this story is last month’s Early Morning Return. The picture was one of several hundred that Jana Ritter took that morning. There is no reason to say the word AWESOME because you will come to that conclusion on your own. Come join us on the third Saturday in September. We arrive at The Eckert James River Bat Cave Preserve about 6:30 A.M.

While you are there, you can give five minutes or five hours of your time and help with the brush clearing that is scheduled for that same day. We will work from that morning until about four or five in the afternoon. Any time that can be offered would be tremendous. Please contact me at 325-347-5970 for more details if you will be able to assist.

The bats are emerging about 7:30 P.M. and I give a presentation at around that same time, so head on out and enjoy the fun....See ya at the cave!!
