Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service to host Food Protection Management Course in Menard
Wednesday, September 12, 2012 • Posted September 12, 2012

I will be conducting a Food Protection Management course on September 27 and 28 in Menard, location to be determined upon class size. This is the food safety course that helps you to pass the test required by the Texas Department of Health. One person per restaurant/establishment must be certified, and it is then your job to teach it to the rest of the employees so we can all stay safe when eating at our local restaurants. I have had some caterers and bed and breakfast owners also take the class, which is $115 for both the course and the test. Please contact me at 325-347-6459 in Mason or 325-396-4787 in Menard if you would like more information or to register!

When customers participate in the 4-H fundraising mobile campaign, they not only donate to a worthy cause, but also receive a coupon for a FREE 12 oz. Slush Monkey and a special buy-one-get-one free pricing on a Nestle nonchocolate candy item. This is true for Stripes store all over Texas, so as you travel don’t forget other 4-H groups too! In total Stripes has raised $210,000 for 4-H Clubs. We have received over $300 in funds from Stripes during the past two years’ campaigns, which we have used to support our projects and activities. The money really does come back to us. Our 4-H Club will soon be taking a photo in front of our local store. See you at Stripes!
