Second Chance – Mason Animal Rescue is sponsoring a free spay/neuter of one cat and one dog in the month of September! Stop by the Mason Feed Store or City of Mason office to register for a chance to win. The drawing will be held September 19.

Our pet of the week this week is Sheba, a beautiful black and white female cat. She is about one year old and gets along great with other cats.Sheba is sweet natured and enjoys being petted and held. She is currently with a foster family but would love a permanent family.

Sheba’s adoption fee will include spaying and vaccinations.

Contact Casey Clevenger at 347-4521 if you are interested in adopting Sheba. Please visit our Facebook page to see all the cats and dogs available for adoption.

Second Chance is still looking for foster families. Fostering a cat or dog removes the animal from the shelter facility to a stable home environment. The animals have a chance to be socialized and evaluated before being adopted.

Someday Second Chance hopes to have their own facility, but until then we have to rely on members of the community to help us give these dogs and cats caring temporary homes. If anyone is interested in filling out our Foster Application please contact Casey Clevenger at 347-4521.
