The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, September 11th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 32 members and four visitors in attendance. Among the visitors were two Mason High School seniors, Josh Jaquez and Eric Martinez.

Lion Fritz Landers was responsible for the program and introduced Randee Renfroe who spoke about her experiences at the Texas Lions Camp.

Randee was diagnosed with diabetes at three years of age and her first time to go to Lions Camp was when she was eight years of age. Randee said she has only missed Lions Camp once in the last five years when she did not get her application in on time.

Randee said the camp has been very helpful in managing her diabetes, ver informative, educational and, most of all - fun!

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, September 18th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Thom Canfield.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
