Puncher Pete
Wednesday, September 26, 2012 • Posted September 26, 2012

Dear Gerry,

We have been attending Puncher football games and pep rallies since 2004. For the last two years my husband and I have had the privilege of being members of the prestigious “tunnel crew,” hauling, inflating, deflating, reinflating, (you get the picture) the purple tunnel to the varsity games.

This year’s Puncher Pete is the best mascot we have ever seen. She is on fire with Puncher spirit, and even in the fourth quarter she’s out there interacting with the fans, clowning on the sidelines, leading cheers, etc. She has also greatly contributed to the pep rallies with her fantastic spirit and sense of humor.

I understand from an article in the Mason County News that she is one of only 50 high school mascots, nationwide, that was chosen to appear at the Gator Bowl this winter. The catch is she has to raise the funds herself to attend. Reigning Cats and Dogs would like to kick off the “Send Puncher Pete to the Gator Bowl” fundraising effort with a $100 donation. If Puncher Pete (or her mother) would like to come by the store to pick up the contribution, we have some other fundraising ideas as well. I would like to challenge any and all Puncher fans to donate to this worthy cause. I can accept donations at 120 Moody St., next to the Odeon Theater, Tuesday - Saturday from 10 AM - 4 PM. Donations can be in cash, check, or credit/debit card form. Puncher Pete Rocks! Support Puncher Pete! Go Punchers!
