Members of the Fine Arts Association of the Hill Country were treated to a free workshop and lunch on Saturday, September 15th at the Mason Eckert Civic Center.

Abstract acrylic painter, Judy Surles of Kerrville, Texas, led the workshop and introduced members to different techniques of applying acrylics to paper and canvas. At one point in the program, members went outside to watch or work on a “Jackson Pollock style” of painting by slinging the paint onto large pieces of fabric.

On October 5th, members will be participating in the “First Friday ART Walk” on the Mason Square, and on October 9th, Spider Johnson will lead a program titled, “Guitar Lessons/Musical Art”, at Bridget Langdale’s “Painted Tree Studio” in Mason. Join us for the fun of it!
