In October 2009, easyhome launched the "Be A Contender" program to provide the industry's top oeprators a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win a franchise financing package. Candidates submitted complete business plans and a rigorous screening process narrowed the field to some of the best operators in the U.S. The finalists were invited to present business plans to the easyhome executive team including David Ingram, President and CEO of easyhome Ltd. and Bud Gates, CEO of easygates, LLC.

easyhome Ltd. was excited to announce the recipient of the franchise financing package to Matthew Holman, son of Mary Estes Martinez, and grandson of Lindell and Betty Estes, all of Mason.

Matthew has enjoyed a fulfilling career of more than 12 years in the RTO industry and has had an astonishing track record during his tenure. Matthew has held multiple positions, from his entry into the business as a Retention Specialist to Regional Manager with two of the most successful corporate and franchise operations of the business in the country. Matthew has been able to bring that to easyhome by being awarded a Rolex for #1 Overall store in the U.S. in 2010. Since the start of his franchisee opportunity, he was able to pay off all of his debt associated with the financing package and has since partnered up with Trent McKenzie who has eight other easyhome locations in Texas and Arizona. Matthew now has three locations (Odessa, Waco and Killeen) that offer the very unique program that easyhome has to offer: "The lowest payment in America or it's FREE." He will be opening and operating his third store in Killeen where he and his family reside. His is so grateful that he has been given this opportunity to provide such a unique service to his local community. He is elated at the fact that he can now show his gratitude to the soldiers in the area by offering up to six months free to the active military in his area, but will also take money that anyone locally has spent with the competitors (up to six months) and apply it to an account at his store.Matthew will open his new easyhome store at 3310 E. Central Texas Expressway, Suite 201 in Killeen, Texas, across from Home Depot, on October 6. Prizes, DJ, and lots of fun will be provided. Matthew invites everyone to come see the local Cheer and Dance teams from ages 2-12 throughout the day.
