Artist, musicians, and authors will present their work in front of the shops around the square during the Starving Artist Show, which will be held in conjunction with Old Yeller Day, on Saturday, October 27, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Art of all varieties, everything from jewelry to pottery to paintings will be shown. This will be a good time to do a bit of early Christmas shopping or look for that special piece of art to fill a void in your heart. In the spirit of the street fairs of another era, the air will fill with the sound of lively music. Authors will have books that can be purchased and signed with a personal inscription.
Many of the artists who participated in last year’s Starving Artist Show will be returning. Newcomers to this year’s event include Tina Hoffman, who will be offering her recently published children’s book. Area artists will be showing work completed during the past year.
The organizers of the Starving Artist Show are Nancy Sterling and Sue Kaan, of The Artisan Gallery in Mason. Both of them
