The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, October 2nd, for its monthly business meeting. There were 33 members and two visitors in attendance. Among the visitors were two Mason High School seniors, Abby Nash and Katherine Koock.

"Boss" Lion Pat Reardon was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

The 5K/10K Walk-Run was a big success. About 120 paid runners, plus a few participants in the Fun Run-Walk. More details later.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, October 9th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Ken Cordero.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
