Spider Johnson composes HIT SONG, with help from members of the FAAHC
Wednesday, October 17, 2012 • Posted October 17, 2012

On Tuesday evening, October 9th, The Painted Tree Studio in Mason, Texas was the setting and inspiration for the soon to be number one, top ten hit, “Cheap Red Wine and the Cobalt Blues.”

Spider Johnson presented the program in the spirit of a devoted musician by teaching listeners about music theory, 1-4-5 cord groups, tone interpretation, cadence and song construction. After the members received their PhDs in music, Spider cleverly used his guitar, set to a blues rhythm, to write lyrics for a song using words suggested by the participants...lots of laughs.

The program was adjourned and members retired to gather around a glowing bonfire in rusty tubs, and ponder on things learned from “Cheap Red Wine and the Cobalt Blues.”
