To Be Or Not To Be..... A Donor!!!
Wednesday, October 24, 2012 • Posted October 24, 2012

We all have an opportunity to make a decision to be an organ donor every time we renew our license. A simple check mark will allow you to become the answered prayer to a person in need.

A 49 year old woman chose TO BE... a Donor and as a result she helped out one of the most deserving Mason residents, Lynn Wright! Lynn has been on dialysis for the last 7 years but October 16th was his last treatment. Because this caring young women checked, TO BE....A Donor Lynn received a kidney on October 17th! You would never have known Lynn had a health problem. Both Lynn and his wife Jerry are very positive and caring people. They are the most helpful and warm hearted country folks you could ever meet!

Lynn and his wife Jerry have lived in Mason for 28 years, raised two children, Nicole Wright Fuller and Justin Wright. They have two grandchildren Thomas and Audrey Fuller. With the blessing of this kidney Lynn is going to be able to live a healthier life to see his grandchildren grow. Lynn has worked as a ranch foreman and is notably appreciated for his dedicated work. Jerry has been an active member of the Mason community. When she is not serving food for the seniors at the Mason Sr. Center she is volunteering for the Mason County Cancer Benefit. Last year Jerry was the co-captain of the highest money earning team, the Kancer Kickers. You may also see them sippin’ tea at one of the local cafes!

Lynn and Jerry’s friends will be having a BAKE SALE at Lowe’s Market Friday November 2nd from 1pm until sold out and at Mason Feed Store Saturday morning November 3rd to help Lynn and Jerry pay for out of pocket expenses. If you would like to donate a baked good bring it by or you can bring it to the Sr. Center Thursday or Friday morning before the sale. If you need you may call Shanna or Liz at 347-6242.

If you are not an organ donor and would like TO BE...A Donor, we will have Organ Donor Cards from the National Kidney Foundation of Texas. This is a great time to talk with your family to let them know how you feel about being a donor and making someone’s wish come true.
