Maria DeJesus Dominquez

Maria DeJesus Dominguez passed away on Friday, October 26, at the age of 87.

Maria was born in Palmito, Durango, Mexico, on June 4, 1925, to Panfilo Amaro and Almansor Amaya. She was raised in Mexico and had lived in Mason since 1974. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Mason. Before retiring, Maria worked as a nurse's aid.

Maria is survived by her children Carlos Dominguez of Mason, Antonio Dominguez of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Mario Dominguez of Fredericksburg, Martin Dominguez of Mexico, Beatriz Crispin of Mexico, Aleyda Dominguez of Mason, Alicia Balderas of Mason and Luisa Gonzalez of Mexico. She is also survived by a sister Angelita Nava of Los Angeles, California, two brothers Jose Amaro and Dionicio Amaro both of Mexico, 34 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ricardo Dominguez and a son Manuel Dominguez

The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, October 30, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason with Fr. Melvin Dornak officiating. Interment followed in the Crosby Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Jesus Gomez, Antonio Dominguez Jr., Cesar Balderas, Chon Dominguez, Rolando Dominguez and Steven Dominguez. A Vigil Service was held Monday evening at Mason Funeral Home led by Jane Vargas.
