On October 15, 2012, the Bluebonnet Study Club met and signed over 200 cards to be distributed through Holiday Mail for Heroes. This program, through the Red Cross, delivers cards to veterans, military families and active duty service members at hospitals and installations world-wide.

Thanks to Sherie Clarkson for the refreshments and for being the hostess for the October meeting.

Our next program will be a joint presentation of “Telling Amy’s Story”. The Haven, a family shelter serving Mason, McCollough, and Menard counties, has arranged for the showing of this documentary on domestic violence. There will be door prizes, a silent auction, and a panel discussion. The showing of “Telling Amy’s Story” will be at the Odeon Theater on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Admission is a $1.00 donation or a contribution of a non-perishable food item.

Later in November, the Bluebonnet Study Club will host a 42 Tournament. Details for the tournament will be announced later.
