Wednesday the Mason Study Club went on a field trip to Glenn & Caren Rueffer’s property, pictured above. Caren walked the Club members step by step through the process of making yogurt. Afterward, she had a buffet of flavored yogurt cheese logs with crackers, and unflavored yogurt with an assortment of toppings. Club members asked lots of questions and thoroughly enjoyed the tastings.
Caren also took the Club on a tour of her home, Jersey cows, chickens, roosters, and vegetable garden. Caren & Glenn had picnic tables set up in the barn for the members to eat their sack lunches. As a final tasting, Caren & Glenn baked pizzas in their fabulous pizza oven.
