The Texas Independent Film Network (TIFN) and The Hill Country Film Festival (HCFF) are pleased to announce the third film in TIFN’s Fall 2012 program to be shown FREE at the Odeon Theater, Wednesday, November 7th at 6 p.m. The month of November will feature AMERICA’S PARKING LOT, a film that no football fan will want to miss.
AMERICA’S PARKING LOT is above all an ode to the devoted sports fan; those true supporters who love their team with an unmatched wild devotion. It’s also the story of how modern corporate interests have shut those fans out, pricing them out in exchange for ever-expanding piles of cash. Is there a place in the modern game for the fan? Will the Cowboys ever win another Super Bowl?
The film documents the growing phenomena of tailgating parties that have become the norm that now proceed, and follow, both college and professional football games. In the film, the recorded action of the old Cowboy Stadium is imploded as tailgaters, true Dallas Cowboy fans, watch and celebrate.
A delicious tailgate ‘party’ will proceed the film starting at 5PM and will offer grilled sausage wraps, snacks and drinks. Come join the fun! For more info, contact 325.347.7758
The public is encouraged to attend this free screening. Limited to 200 seats, so to ensure your place, go to www.TheOdeonTheater to register and for more information. Adults may bring their favorite beverage.
