The Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library will be exhibiting the works of Nadine Eby as Artist of the Month for November. Ms. Eby spent her early years in upstate New York enjoying the lakes, rivers, mountains, and an education in the arts including fine and applied. She chose pottery making as her profession and Texas as her destination. The vast and varied landscape of Texas and the warmer climate have made Texas home for the past thirty-five years.
After selling her work through a shop in Granbury, Texas’ Renaissance Festivals, Wimberly, Gruene, Country Peddler, and Dallas Market as well as sharing a Bible study on the Potter and the Bible, Ms. Eby had the opportunity to teach art at Sonora High School and returned to other applied as well as fine art. One year ago she and her husband moved to Junction on the North Llano River and have been kept very busy with opportunities to meet and work with the artists of Kimble County.
"It is a great privilege to show my work in Mason, the place of my husband’s grandfather’s birth. The rugged and unique beauty of this area is a constant source of inspiration."
