Mason Community Foundation Grant Application Deadline
Wednesday, August 13, 2008 • Posted August 13, 2008

Mason Community Foundation officials have announced that September 15th is the last day to apply for a grant from the Foundation in 2008. Since May 2007, the foundation has awarded $38,000 to support 18 projects. Mason Community Foundation grants are available to non-profit organizations working on projects to benefit citizens of Mason. Proceeds from the Mason Community Thrift Store fund the grants. Donated goods FROM the community become dollars FOR the community.

Grants awarded by the Foundation in May 2008, include $5,000 to Alpha Beta Psi to build an awning and purchase tables for the picnic area the organization has built by the Mason City swimming pool.

If your non-profit organization would like to apply for a grant, pick up an application form at the Community Thrift Store and return it by September 15.

Volunteers Needed: Volunteers are critical to the ongoing operation of the Thrift Store and our ability to support community activities. We particularly need volunteers on Saturdays. Come by the Thrift Store or call the store at 347-6551 to volunteer.
