FAAHC Members Enjoy Brownwood Exhibit and Reception
Wednesday, August 13, 2008 • Posted August 13, 2008

Seven members of the Fine Arts Association of the Hill Country enjoyed an evening in Brownwood on August 2nd. They attended the Photography Art Exhibit and Reception hosted by Mason artist and fellow FAAHC member, Robin E. Clark, and Brownwood artist, Julie Mize.

The show was titled “Two Towns: Brownwood and Mason”. Each artist presented several pieces of work regarding selected objects or scenes in their respective town. Julie used black and white photography to capture interesting architectural details found in Brownwood. Robin chose to use “archival quality, colored digital imaging” to present her Mason selections. Some scenes are well known and some require both a “second glance” and a reading of the inscription that describes the piece. Then you have an “ah-ha” moment! The viewer will appreciate the artist’s work that has gone into each piece.

Plans are underway for the show to be presented in Mason as soon as possible.

Shown at the opening night reception, left to right, are: Sue Kaan, Martha Kothmann, Judy Uherek, Al Dreyer, Robin Clark, Diane Evans, Lola Hohn and Carol Kothmann. Also, in attendance was Jutta (Mrs. Al) Dreyer.
