Wednesday, August 13, 2008 • Posted August 13, 2008

It’s that time again!

Parents of Mason High School students will receive a packet in the mail in the next couple of weeks which includes high school registration information and necessary forms which need to be completed and returned to school on the day of registration. Please complete the registration packet to the best of your ability.

If there are any questions, there will be staff available to help fill in the blanks. Parents and students, please make sure that you read all information carefully before signing, as there are some changes that are important to all parties. Also please note: Some of the forms are printed on both the front and backsides of the pages.

Due to new legal requirements, all incoming ninth grade students will need to have a copy of your birth certificate. We will be able to make a copy for your convenience in the office.

All students will register on Tuesday, August 12th. The following schedule will apply.

· Seniors: 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

· Juniors: 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

· Sophomores 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

· All football players and students involved with practice will register from 1:00 p.m. - 2 p.m.

· Freshmen will attend registration at 2 p.m. and the special orientation session at 5:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend.

In addition, students who have not met the TSI requirement for taking high school/college dual credit classes will have the opportunity to take the THEA on Wednesday, August, 13th at 1:00 p.m. in the high school library. The cost is $29, and the check should be made out to NES. There is no need to pre-register.
