The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, December 4th, for its regular monthly business meeting. There were 37 members and one visitor in attendance.

"Boss" Lion Pat Reardon was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

The Hamburger Lunch was a great success, totaling $993.52 profit. This money will go in our project account to be used locally.

New member, Mark Kirby, was installed by Lion Gaylon Thorn. His sponsor was Michael Cope.

Lions John Gammill, Brad Glass, Chuck Bearden and "Boss" Lion Pat Reardon took the Pedia-Vision machine to the Family Night at the Mason Elementary School on Tuesday, Dec. 4th to do eye screenings. We tested 30 students with three referrals.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, December 11th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Michael Cope.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
