Grote, Owens United June 14th

Koy Mac Grote and Sarah Renee Owens were united in marriage on June 14, 2008. Officiated by Gary Brown and witnessed by several family members from Texas, the ceremony was held in the meadow area at Wild Basin Lodge in Allenspark, Colorado. The natural setting was breathtaking with green grass, an array of wildflowers, and snowcapped mountains.

Austin Matthew Garrett was “King of the Ring”, and his sister, Mason Paige, was the “Perfectly Picked Flower Girl.” These special attendants are the nephew and niece of the groom. The bride’s parents hosted the reception in the social hall of Wild Basin Lodge. A prenuptial dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Riverside Cafe in Estes Park, Colorado.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Susie Owens and the granddaughter of Ralph Buller and Evelyn Owens, all of Wichita Falls, Texas. The groom’s parents are Jeff and Dorothy Grote, and his grandparents are Maudell McDonald and Oliver and Doris Grote, all of Mason.

The bride is a graduate of Rider High School in Wichita Falls and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Texas Tech University. She is employed by Aloe Vera of America in Garland, Texas. The groom graduated from Mason High School and holds a master’s degree in Agricultural Education from Texas A&M University. He is employed by Forney ISD. The couple resides in Royce City, Texas.
