The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, September 2nd, for its monthly business meeting. There were 45 members and 5 visitors in attendance.

"Boss Lion" Denwood Butler was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report. The Hamburger Lunch, the 10-K Walk-Run, and the Pictorial directory were discussed. The High School was notified that the Lions Club was ready to receive seniors as guest at our meetings.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, September 9th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Nolan Donop and the program will be on "Honoring Our Heroes!"

The Mason Lions Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
