Nevada, MO--Henrietta Howell, daughter of Flora Burleson of Mason, Texas, has been accepted for admission to Cottey College for the fall 2008 semester. She graduated from Mason High School, and plans to major in pre-med.

In high school, Henrietta was active in student council, Teens in the Driver Seat, pep squad, After the Bell, Student Representation on the Campus Education Improvement Committee, basketball manager, and FCCLA. She also received the following honors and awards: A honor roll, academic excellence, National Honor Society president, and commended performance on TAKS.

Cottey College is an independent, two-year, liberal arts college for women located in Nevada, Missouri, 100 miles south of Kansas City. The College's residential student capacity is 350, and the typical student body is composed of young women from 40 states and 14 countries. After completing two years of their education at Cottey they transfer to colleges and universities across the world.

Cottey is owned and supported by the P.E.O. Sisterhood, a philanthropic college in the nation owned and supported by women for women.
