The 198th District Attorney's Office is pleased to announce that Texas Ranger (Retired) Matt Andrews has appointed by District Attorney Ron Sutton as an additional investigator of the office. He will assist D. A. investigator Todd Burdick and Assistant District Attorney Menard, Mason and McCulloch Counties.

Matt grew up in Andrews, Texas and joined the Texas Department of Public Safety at age 20. His first duty was as trooper in Midland, Texas where he served from 1979-1992 when he was selected to serve as a Texas Ranger and served as such there until 1997 and then was assigned to Brady where he retired August 31, 2008. On September 2, 2008 he was sworn in by District Judge Karl Prohl as an investigator. Matt and his wife Kay have three sons, two of which are students at Texas A&M and the younger is a student at Brady High School.
