One day Nan Loeffler was whining to her husband, Carl, that Texas Tech was offering summer graduate are metal and jewelry design classes and that was what she had always wanted to do, but never had the change! So he said "Stop whining and go do it," thinking that she would get it out of her system and things would return normal.
WRONG! that was 16 years ago and she got so hooked she took classes for eight summers, began working on her own, learning, reading, playing and creating every change she got. It fired up a passion that wouldn't stop!
Then fourteen years ago she began teaching art classes in Junction Middle School and is honored that every year she had many students win awards in art shows, some go into art careers, and some sell their work.
In her small studio on the farm she has been hand crafting silver jewelry and art metal since Carl said to go for it. The majority of her work is whimsical, inspirational, and animals. She designs pieces from everyday life and a sense of humor and playfulness. Her artwork is her dream and she thanks God everyday for allowing her the privilege. Her work has been shown in Austin, Dallas, Corpus Chrisit, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Junction and Texas Tech.
Some people have told her that her work is weird, strange, and different, to which Nan replies a hearty THANK YOU! She even has a work of art that has this Quote: "Some people say my art is weird, some people say my art is wonderful, I say thank you God, my art is a dream come true!"
Come see her work---like it or not---she'll continue because she has a passion that makes her smile inside and out!

Webster's does define mnemonic device
As a technique devine
For assisting and improving one's memory so fine
The sillier they fall
The more I recall
As a young child I watched a cartoon
An outer space theme
But not the moon
A planet called Muni Mula
As "senior moments" begin to bloom
I may forget
What I'm going after in the other room
I can probably spell
