Thomas D. Brown

Thomas D. Brown, 63, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away at his home on October 29, 2008.  He was born on May 14, 1945, in Brady, Texas, to Thomas N. and Josephine (Jacobson) Brown. 

Thomas was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Austin and the T. Neal Porter Masonic Lodge No. 1354.  Tom retired from TXDOT after 30 years of service.  He loved to go hunting, fishing and most of all take care of his family.  He had a gift of growing plants and always took pride in his garden and yard.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and love him. 

He was preceded in death by his father.   Thomas is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Brown of Round Rock; mother, Josephine Brown of Mason; daughter, Judith “Jen” Brown of Hutto; sons, Brandon D. Brown and wife Regina  “Rae” of Cedar Park; Paul A. Reno and wife Jenna of Maryland; grandchildren, Aaron W. Brown, Rylan D. Brown, Savanna Grace Brown and Brantley A. Reno; sister, Beverly J. Cosgrove and husband James of Conroe; brothers, James V. Brown of Coldspring; Timothy P. Brown of Mason; best friends, Herbert Droemer of Austin  and Mike Nazak of Round Rock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Sunday, November 2, 2008, at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park, Texas.  Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2008, at Beck Funeral Home.  Interment was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Gooch Cemetery, Mason, Texas. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Thomas Brown may be made to the St. Mark United Methodist Church Building Fund, 601 W. Braker Lane, Austin, Texas 78753, or to the Masonic Lodge of Texas in Waco, Texas.
