On the crisp, clear morning of Oct. 25, the gates opened for Live Oak Trade Days. About a dozen booths were set up on a plot of land on the west side of Hwy. 87 S, just north of the Hwy. 71 turnoff to Austin. The monthly trade day events promote the Brady/McCulloch County area and provide a source of wholesome family entertainment, including live music.
The annual Biketoberfest was held Oct. 25 also. The motorcyclists from the Iron Horse Riding Club had a fun run to raise money for the Helping Hands Toys for Tots campaign. There was a drop box for canned goods which will benefit Helping Hands Thanksgiving food drive.
The next Trade Day event will be held at the outdoor location, Nov. 22. (The Saturday before Thanksgiving.) There will be two trade days in December; Dec. 13 and Dec. 27.
These will be held at the Ed Davenport Civic Center on Hwy. 87 (San Angelo Hwy.), just west of Brady.
Y’all come out.
