Nell Barsch Kidd, a longtime Snyder resident, died Tuesday, October 2, in Cogdell Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Graveside service for Mrs. Kidd, 77, is set for 2 p.m. Friday in the Bethel Cemetery in Katemcy, Texas with Jim Hill, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wright Colonial Funeral Home.

Born Feb. 9, 1931 in Calf Creek, Texas, she married Roy Kidd on April 2, 1952 in Lohn. He died October 24, 2005.

Mrs. Kidd was a homemaker and was the secretary and bookkeeper for her husband at Snyder Truck and Tractor. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Irena Barsch; and a sister, Anna Rae Barsch.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Jackie Kidd os Snyder, a daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Billy Wilkinson of Edmond, Okla.; a grandson, Dustin Wilkinson of Huntsville; and two step-grandchildren, Quintin Kasparek of Hawaii and Rachel Robertson of Flower Mound; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Edna and Rubin Kasper of Dublin, Dora Whitely of College Station and Frieda Chew of Brady; and two brothers, Billy Barsch of Levelland and Bobbie of Silver City, N.M.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association or to a favorite charity.
