Continue to pray for the rain we so desperately need. These cool nights and warm days are fine but we need rain.

Next Sunday is a busy birthday day. Celebrating on November 23rd are Clara McInnis, Judy Kothmann and Barry Jordan. Roger Jordan will have his party on November 24th and Deborah Baxter celebrates on November 25th. Celebrating anniversaries are Max and Jan Jordan on November 24th and Stephen and Joyce Mutschink on November 25th. It’s a great time to party; have a great day.

Include in your daily prayers Florence Blake, Anna Grace Durst, Carlita Jordan, Pearl Leifeste, Marilyn Kahan, John Henry Kothmann, Dick Pierson, Jean Horton and Tyra Jordan’s brother-in-law as he recovers from major surgery. We know that God answers our prayers for healing and these great people need your help.

The church grounds and the sanctuary really look nice after the work done last Saturday. Thanks to all who worked so hard and a special thanks to the workers who furnished the breakfast. Now, we are ready to finish the Christmas decorations. On Sunday morning, November 23rd, the inside decorations will be completed with the “Hanging of the Greens”. Again, we start at 9:00 a.m. with a breakfast provided by the Young Adult Sunday School Class. The work will continue until church starts at 11:00 a.m. There will be no Sunday School. Come and join in this work and fellowship.

The next events on the church calendar are Thanksgiving on the 27th, the First Sunday of Advent on the 30th with a Fifth Sunday Service that evening, and the “Heritage of Faith Tour” on December 6th. Everyone has their assignments for the tour. Get ready for a really busy Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

Keep working on your shoeboxes for the Mexico mission.

The PPR committee will meet next Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Stephen Mutschink brought the sermon as Rev. Mark Krause worked a Walk to Emmaus. The Gospel scripture from Matthew 25:14-30 is all about the coming Kingdom of Heaven.

Everybody wants to go to Heaven, but nobody wants to go now. Our goal is to get to Heaven, to be in the presence of God. When your time comes, will you be ready? If Jesus came today, would you be ready? We need to be prepared; we need to have our ticket, fully paid for and in our hand. All believers, those who believed as a child and those who accepted Jesus as their savior on their deathbed, will receive the same reward. If you do not have your ticket, it will be too late.

God expects a change in our lives before giving us a ticket. You must change you life. God will separate the sheep from the goats. The sheep, on His right side, will be welcomed into the Kingdom.

Live a Christ-like life or be left out. Keep God in your life. Study His Word, love yourself and others. Keep God in the center of your life. Be prepared. No one knows when the time will come. Be ready; keep watch. He will come suddenly. Secure your ticket and be ready to have it punched. Be ready for a glorious eternity.

Jesus paid the price for your ticket. Accept your ticket and serve in His name.
