It is Thanksgiving time! Time to reflect on the many blessings we have. To be thankful for them and to give glory to our creator for all He has done for us and in us.

It is high time to look to the One who gave us life and breath, and caused us to come into being. The One who decided the number of the stars, when the moon would be full and where the planets should be placed, yet knows us each by name. Think about John 1:3 which says; “All things came into being through Him and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.” and that includes you and me.

You may say but “you don’t know my problems, you don’t know how hard things are for me right now.” Well maybe I don’t but our Creator does and He has the answers for those problems. I may not know what He has in store for me, but I know it is His best for me if I will stop my way and do things His way. I know He wants to give me a future and a hope according to Jer.29:11. I am so thankful that we have Him to look to for our future.

I am so very thankful for health, a warm house to live in, a comfortable bed to sleep in, and food to eat. I have been many places where people don’t have these things. I am thankful to live in America, where we can at least express our mind, vote freely, live wherever we choose and worship without fear. Many countries cannot do these things. I am so very thankful for family and friends who love me even if we don’t always see eye to eye.

But most of all I am thankful for the One who paid the price that I might be free from bondage and sin. The One who loves me so much that even if I don’t choose to follow Him, loves me still. Who never gives up on me, and never forsakes me, the One I can always count on when others fail me.

These are just a few of the things I am thankful for…. how about you?

Take a few minutes today and think about what you have to be thankful for and then, just give thanks! Hey, lets be thankful out there… it might just change your life, and I know it will change your attitude. Live with an attitude of gratitude… it might make your face look better!
