The Mason Study Club was privileged to have Linda Laury as their guest speaker. Linda gave a demonstration of the classic Art of Chairmaking. Linda makes all of her chairs of hardwoods, by hand and uses no power tools! It was fascinating to see her demonstrate how she creates these beautiful chairs. The members really enjoyed her informative program.

Mark your calendar! The next Mason Study Club meeting will be Tues, Nov 25 in the Stribling Room of the Mason County Library. The program, “The Art of Story-telling” will be presented by Rosemary Davis.

The meeting will begin with a card-marking workshop followed by a sack lunch. Members are reminded to bring an ornament for the Christmas Ornament Exchange. The business meeting will follow at 1 pm. Hostesses will be: Mary Carlman, Marnelle Ruthven, Mary Eastes, Eva Tannehill and Gladys Kaderka.

After giving the Mason Study Club a wonderful demonstration on The Art of Chairmaking, Linda Laury gives Eva Tannehill some coaching on working with a walnut chair leg.
