The Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library has many items that make wonderful Christmas gifts. The Mason Study Club offers the BookMate, a high quality vinyl book cover that holds paperbacks open for easy reading. It snaps closed for carrying, has a built-in bookmark, and comes in several beautiful colors and prints. The Study Club also continues to make their very popular note cards with photos of Mason area scenery, flowers, and animals. These are impressive and quality crafted cards.
The Friends of the Library have many Old Yeller items including caps, shirts, mugs, DVDs, books, koozies, and even Christmas ornaments. The Old Yeller items are always a great gift. The Friends also offer memorial and honorarium bricks that will be placed along the front sidewalk at the library. The bricks make a gift that will last for years.
Also, in memory or honor of someone, for $20 you may help the library replace a well-read, worn, Junior classic book for the library shelves. You simply select the book from a list and tell us who to send a note card to, telling of your gift to the library.
All of these items may be purchased at the library located at 410 Post Hill in Mason, Texas.
The library will be closed from 12:00-1:00 for lunch several days in December. Please call ahead if you are making a special trip into town to visit the library. The library will be closed December 24, 25, 26, 31 and January 1 for Christmas and New Year’s.
Story Time will be held only Friday the 5th and 12th in December and will return to it’s regular schedule in January.
Library hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday - Friday.
Live Homework Help for K-Adult is available through the Library’s web site. Instead of a Library Card #, type mbeckert. Live Homework Help is available every day of the year except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Easter Day.
